Privacy Policy

Boxing Coach is designed to work without an account. We collect only what is needed to run the features you choose.

Information we handle

When you use the app as a guest

The app may store your display name, experience level, training goal, stance, training mode or equipment, routine, optional body details, workout settings, reminder choices, and workout history locally on your device.

When you create an account

If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we receive the account identifier and any name, email address, or profile image the provider makes available under your settings. Firebase Authentication processes sign-in. Your fighter profile is stored in Firebase Firestore. If profile-photo uploads are enabled and you choose a photo, that image is stored in Firebase Storage.

When you contact support

We receive the contact details, device or app information, and message you submit. The support form is processed by Netlify so we can respond and resolve the issue.

Product analytics and crash diagnostics

In production builds, we may use PostHog to receive anonymous, allow-listed product events such as onboarding steps, workout starts and completions, selected workout categories, and reminder-permission results. These events may include standard app, operating-system, and device properties and an anonymous installation identifier. We do not send your name, email address, profile photo, support text, or workout history in these analytics events. Session replay, touch autocapture, person profiles, and GeoIP enrichment are disabled.

We may use Sentry for app errors and crashes. Diagnostic reports may include an error message and stack trace, app version, operating system, device type, and crash state. Default personal-information collection, screenshots, failed-network-request capture, and performance tracing are disabled. We do not attach your Boxing Coach account identity to Sentry reports.

If you view, buy, or restore Premium, RevenueCat may process a pseudonymous App User ID, store product and transaction identifiers, entitlement status, purchase dates, country or store region, and basic app, device, and operating-system information. Guests use an anonymous RevenueCat App User ID. Signed-in users use the Firebase account identifier, never the account email address. A Boxing Coach account is not required to purchase or restore Premium through the native store.

Permissions and device access

• Notifications: requested only after you explicitly choose to enable training reminders. Reminder scheduling is handled on your device.
• Photos and camera: requested only when you choose or capture an optional fighter profile photo.
• Audio: the app plays bells and coaching cues. It does not currently record your microphone for the core workout.

How we use information

• Provide workouts, reminders, progress views, and profile features.
• Authenticate accounts and recover synced fighter profiles.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
• Respond to support and account-deletion requests.
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use health or training data for third-party advertising.

Service providers

We use providers only for the functions described above:

• Apple and Google for optional account sign-in.
• Google Firebase for authentication, cloud fighter profiles, and optional profile-photo storage.
• Netlify for website hosting and support-form processing.
• PostHog for anonymous, allow-listed product analytics when enabled in the production app.
• Sentry for crash and error diagnostics when enabled in the production app.
• RevenueCat for store product display, purchase validation, entitlement status, and purchase restoration.
• Apple App Store and Google Play for distribution and any purchases offered through their stores.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies and may process it in countries other than yours.

Retention and deletion

Local app data remains on the device until you clear it, delete the app, or use an in-app reset or account-deletion action. Cloud account and fighter-profile data remain until you delete your account, we no longer need the data for the purpose collected, or law requires longer retention. Deleting a Boxing Coach account does not refund or erase transaction records retained by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or us where needed to validate purchases, provide restoration, prevent fraud, or meet legal obligations. Support messages may be retained while needed to resolve the request, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Signed-in users can delete their account from Profile → Account & Data → Delete Account. This removes the Firebase account and cloud fighter profile and clears Boxing Coach data from that device. You can also use the support form.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, or object to certain processing. You can edit fighter details in the app, manage permissions in device settings, delete your account in the app, or contact us through Support.

Children and families

Boxing training involves physical risk. Anyone below the age of legal majority should use Boxing Coach only with permission and appropriate supervision from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly request personal information from children where parental consent is required. A parent or guardian may contact Support to request deletion.

Security and limits

We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device and sign-in provider account protected. Boxing Coach is a fitness coaching tool, not a medical device, emergency service, or substitute for a qualified coach or healthcare professional.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Material new data uses will not be applied retroactively without an appropriate legal basis.
